Dieter Rams började arbeta för Braun redan 1955 och har lång erfarenhet både vad det gäller design och arkitektur så han om någon borde veta vad god design är. Här är i alla fall hans "10 principles of good design".

5. Good design is unobtrusive

8. Good design is consequent to the last detail
9. Good design is concerned with the environment
10. Good design is as little design as possible
